MATCH with THAMES. easy wjn for visitors. The inter-club tennis match between the Thames and Paeroa clubs on Saturday on the local courts resulted in a substantial win for the visiting team. Although the local club was defeated most games were closely contested, and some very good £ tennis was witnessed. The visitors were entertained to afternoon tea at the courts and later, after the match, to tea at the Commercial Hotel, af,ter which they departed by bus for Thames. The results were as under, Paeroa players being mentioned first:— Men’s Singles.—Ruston lost to Gray, 2 —9; H. Thorp lost to Poulgrain, 4 — 9; F.
