LAST SATURDAY'S MATCHES. DETAILS OF LOCAL GAME. An inter-club match was played be--tween Morrinsville and Paeroa on Sat- * urday last, the “A" teams meeting at Morrinsville ajid the “B” teams at Paeroa. Owing to the short time available for. play neither was finished, but the result was in favour of Morrinsville. On the local courts the visitors won 9 sets to 7, the. following being the derails : — Singles— Scherf beat Masters, 6—4; McDonald beat Scott, 9—4; Oates beat Poland, 6—l; Woods beat Hayward, 6—2; Miss Sankey beat Miss Argali, 7 —4. Doubles.—Scherf and McDonald beat Masters and Scott, 9—3; Oates and'Woods lost to Poland and Hayward, 7-^-9; O’Connor and Atchison lost to Grant, and Conolly, 4—9 ; Miss McNaughton and Miss Sankey lost to Mrs Pitts and Miss Argali, 5—7: Misses Strevens and Lowry lost to Miss Masters and Mrs Riddell, 6—7 ; Misses Lloyd and Miller lost, to Mrs Hedge and Miss Tierney, 3—7.
