AVERAGES FOR DECEMBER.
Records for full thirty-day periods, and representing the production of cows tested as normal cows during the month of December last, have been supplied by the N.Z. Co-operative Herd Testing Association : —
Netherton.—992 cows, 8701 b milk, average test 3.9, with 34.24 of fat. Highest herd of 21 cows averaged 43.57 fat, and lowest herd of 72 cows averaged 23.55. The highest cow was 79.20, and the lowest 9.36. Patetonga.—l492 cow’s,, 8361 b milk, average, test 4.0, with 34.21 of fat. Highest, herd of 40 cows averaged 4’5.25 fat, and ICiwCst herd of 46 cows averaged 25.541 b fat. The highest cow was 69.12, and the lowest 10.08. Turua.—Bs9 cows, 8241 b milk, average test 3.9, with 33.461 b fat. Highest herd of 46 cows averaged 42.341 b fa’tj, and lowest herd of 19 cows averaged 23.70. The highest cow gave 63.85, and the lowest 10.92. Waitakaruru. —580 cows, 8571 b milk, average test 3.9,. with 34.111 b of, fat. Highest herd of 72 cows averaged 41.291 b fat, and lowest herd df 63 cows averaged ’28.63. The highest cow gave 66.241 b, and the lowest 12.75. Shelly Beach.—ll 29 cows, 8231 b milk, average test 4.0, with 33.601 b fat. Highest herd of 60 cows averaged 42.471 b fat, and lowest herd of 38 cows averaged 26.161 b fat. The highest cow gave 67.50, and lowest 8.64.
The average for 59,956 cows tested during December was 8721 b milk, 4.0 test, and 35.651 b fat.
