LAND BOARD ELECTIONS.
CROWN LAND REPRESENTATIVE.
TWO PLAINSMEN NOMINATED.
Nominations for the vacancy on the South Auckland Land Board caused by the retirement on account of the passing of 'lime of the Crown tenants representative, Mr W. G. Hayward, of Ngatea, closed at the Lands Office, Auckland, on Tuesday last. Mr Hayward, who has represented the Crown tenants, on the board for. two twe-year terms, is eligible for re-election, and will contest the poll against Mr J. W. Treadawaay, o,f Piako Road, Tur.ua. These were' the only nominations.
Ballot papers will be issued to the •4000-odd Cr.own. tenants in th© South Auckland district this week, and voting papers must be returned by Maron .15.
