On the motion of Cr. G. P. de Castro it was decided at, last night’s meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council to fohward a telegram of welcome and congratulation to the. Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Prime Minister, on his return to the Dominion. The Ngatea Tennis Club will hold several handicap tournaments in the near future. A ladies’ singles competition will be, played for medals- donated by the club captain, Mr A. E. Ludlow, and a handicap tournament in which both ladies and men will play, has been arranged for a very fine tennis racquet donated by Messrs W. and V. Montgomery. Mr A. R. Vowles, the association handicapper, has consented to do the handicapping. Entries, accompanied by the fee of Is, will be received up till the 16t,h instant.
