MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. PROGRAMME FOR SEASON. The Hauraki Plains Cricket Association met at Ngatea on Thursday evening, Mr H. L. Berney presiding over the following: Messrs N. Hedges, Rus. Green, T.—-McKay, R. Cornthwaite, R. D. Macklow, J. Galvin, E. J- hnston, and F. L. Wallis, secretary. THE PIAKO MATCH. An explanation df the non-arrival of the Piako team for a match op the pievious Saturday, as arranged, was received 'from the Piako Association. It was pointed out; that an arrangement had been made for another match prior to the receipt of the Plains Association’s letter. It was* suggested that the match be played at Easter. It was decided to submit ■ Easter Saturday for a match at Te Aroha. MATCH WITH AUCKLAND. Mr Macklow pointed out that an Auckland team usually visited Waihi at Easter and played '‘/here on Easter Saturday and Monday. He suggested' that this team be asked to travel by mot<-r instead df by train and play a match on the. Plains on the way through or on tho, way back or on both days. A motion to that effect was carried, and the secretary was instructed to endeavour to arrange a match with the Pukekeihe or some other association in the event of it not being possible, to play Auckland. THAMES MATCH. For the return matches at Thames on Saturday next the selector, Mr J. G. Miller, submitted the ’following teams: — “A” Grade A. J. McDonald, R. Whelan, Rev. Averill, T. McKay, R. Macklow, W. O’Neil, F. Woodbridge, S. Phillips, B. Nolan, Russell GiWm, C. Stretton. Emergencies: H. Dare and F. Nicol. “B” Grade.—H. Dare, G. Boyd, R. Cornthwaite, F. Nicol, E, Johnston, W. Mulholland, N. Boyne, A. McPherson, N. Hedges, E. Gill, C. Parfitt. Emergencies: R. Lindsay, J. Galvin, J. Knox. INTER-CLUB MATCHES. The draw for the third round of the intej-club competition resulted as follows the first-mentioned in each case travelling to the pitch <-f the. second-mentioned team : — First ’day (last Saturday) : Waitakaruru v. KaiherO, Turua v. Pipiroa, Kopuarahi v. Ngatea. Second day’: Pipiroa v. Waitakaruru, Kaihere v. Kopuarahi, Ngatea v. Turua. Third day : Waitakaruru v. Turua, Ngatea v. Kaihere, Pipiroa v. Kopuarahi. Fourth day: Kopuarahi v. Waitakaruru, Kaihere v. Turua, Ngatea v. Pipiroa. Last day: Waitakaruru v. Ngatea, Pipiroa v. Kaihere, Turua v. Kopuarahi.
