PUMPING DRAIN WATER.

HORAHIA BOARD’S ACTION.
The. Horahia Drainage Board at a special meeting called for purpose last Friday evening decided steps bfe taken as quickly as possible to raise, a loan o'f £l4OO, being sufficient for the installation of .three drain-water pumps. The loan will be secured by a rate estimated to be about in the £ on ths value of the land in a special rating area bounded by Orchard East Road from the Ngatea bridge .to the western boundary of the Horahia-Opou special rating arQa, thence along that line and continued across the farm of Mr H. Innis to. the Kerepeehi-Wharepoa road, thence along fjhat road to thQ r.iver at .the Kerepeehi wharf. TJja . rate has not yet been definitely ascertained. The board desires it to be clearly understood that it is not committed to take over the pumping installation at the Ngatea bridge.
