MANGAWHERO FATALITY.
YOUNG MAN FOUND DEAD.
GUNSHOT WOUND IN HEAD. A young man, aged 18 years, named Henry Walter Furness, was found dead at Mangawhero Road, between Kaihere and Patetonga, . yesterday aftErncon, with a gunshot wound in his head. The deceased was employed by his uncle, Mr H. Furness, farmer, Mangawhero Road, and it is understood that he left his uncle’s farm on Tuesday morning for the purpose of going on a wild-pig shooting expEditjon. The body was discovered yesterday by Mr W- Pulman, who was out searching for cattle, in dense ti-tree and heavy undergrowth. An inquest was held before Mr W. H. Lucas, district coroner, this morning, when a verdict of “found dead was returned. It is understood that the parents of deceased reside at Te Kuiti. The deceased was a clean-living and intelligent young map, and popular in thE district.
