FINAL OF COMPETITION. TURUA WINS CUP. The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s inter-club competition for the new Laidlaw Cup was concluded on Saturday last. The Turua club, having gone, righ’i through the season without a loss, becomes the first holder of the new cup. The Waitakaruru club only lost one match, Paid therefore is the ruhner-Up in the competition. The Turua club is now the holder of the old and the new Laidlaw Cups, the Hayward Shield, and the Williams Memorial Chaitenge Cup. Details of Saturday’s games are as follows :— TURUA V. PATETONGA.
