ANOTHER VENTURE.
AUCKLAND SYNDICATE.
By the activity now being displayed at the Monowai, Colorado and Conquerm - mines it is evident (says a Thames correspondent) that the mining df refractory ores is being seriously undertaken in this district. The. mining rights of these ptoperties were recently acquired by a German synmining rights o'f these properties were dicate, and details are now to hand of another venture of a similar nature at Coromandel, financed by an Auckland syndicate. Metallurgists have known 'for. some .time o’f the rich deposits of lead, copper, and other metals awaiting developments in this locality, and prospecting has been proceeding for some time. The Auckland syndicate, having been satisfied with the results o'f the prospecting, have now put on a gang df men to work on an area which includes the Cadman mine. A rich-looking reef has been located, and the ore will be sent to Germany for treatment.
