RAILWAY SUBWAY.
(To the Editor,} Sir, —I think it is about time that something was done, with regard to the, regulation o'f traffic through the subway near the old railway signalbox commonly spoken o'f by many people as the "Death Trap.” Motorcars dash through this narrow way without sounding any warning, cyclists scorch round the bend on the footpath, troops of horses are driven through on their way to paddocks of a night, some preferring the 'footpath to the road, instead of being led ; and all this with the' gravest risk to the pedestrian. Many have been the narrow escapes, and if something is. not done without delay it is a certainty that someone will be killed. This dees not in the least exaggerate the situation, as those who have to use the subway footpath know how dangerous the position is. PEDESTRIAN.
