GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES* TO-NIGHT. THE RAINMAKER. "The Rainmaker,” which is to be screened tc-night, may be picturesquely described aS, the story of a jockey and a dance-hall girl,, runners on Life’s race track, against whom the opening odds are heavyEach overcomes a bad start, runs fair and true for a little while, then weakens and falls back into the ruck. Their final race is run in a little border town where the. sky is the limit and anything can happen and does happen. Ernest Torrence and Georgia Hale play the eading rolek, TEXAS. "Texas,” Franklyn Farnum’s latest 'feature, a western comedy-drama', will also be shown to-night, and is a story of the railroad’s invasion of the west in the early days. The story is replete with thrills, mystery, comedy situations, drama,'and a red-blooded, he-man climax that finishes up with a “bank.” The roles are superbly cast, each character being chosen for his or her fitness for the part. THURSDAY NIGHT. THE SHAMROCK HANDICAP. Peter B. Kyne, America’s foremost, magazine writer, i's the author of “The Shamrock Handicap,” which will be screened to-morrow night. It is a story about a heroic Irish jockey and an Irish steeplechaser on an American track. The cast includes J. Farrell McDonald, Leslie Fenton, Janet Gaynor, Willard L<>uis, Georgie Harris, and Claire. McDowell.
