BOXING DAY COMPETITION A PLAYiOFF IN THE PAIRS. Twenty members, of the Paeroa Bowling Club took part in ,an enjoyable pairs competition on Boxing Day. Owing to the unpropitious weather the green was rather but it im-; proved as the day wore. on. The competition was eagerly fought out, and resulted in two teams—Perstoh and Power and Morland and HalA —going through without a loss. The final game between these twfo teams has. been arranged to be played this afternoon. TE ARiOHA TOURNEY. The following have been selected to represent the local club at the New Year’s Day tourney at Te Arolia: — W. Chamberlain, C. Holes, W. Hamilton, W. H. Taylor (skip) ; Dowry, Perston, T. H. Hale, W. J. Towers (skip) ; W. McCu'llay, J. Wilkinson, D. Gibb, W. T. PowQr (skip) ; G. H. Vowles, J. Brocket, W. J. Ellis, F. Marsh (skip).
