Public Notices. ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD. AWAITI SUBDIVISION. NOTICE TO MAKE AND LEVY GENERAL RATE FOR THE YEAR ENDING MARCH 31ST, 1927. NOTICE is hereby given that the Elstow Drainage Board at a meeting to be held in its office, Waihou, on Wednesday, January 19, 1927, at the hour of 10 a.m., intends to make and levy under the Lands Drainage Act, 1908, and all Amendments thereto, the Rating Act, 1925, and of all other Acts and powers it in that behalf enabling, a General Rate on a graduated scale according to the Classification Lists of lands within the Awaiti Subdivision of the Elstow Drainage District as hereunder:— Upon lands classed “A’ of 2 9-16 d in the £ on the unimproved rateable value; upon lands classed “B” of If d in the £ on the unimproved rateable value ; and upon lands classed “C” of fd m the £ on the unimproved rateable value. ’ All such rates shall be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1926, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1927, and be payable in one sum to the Clerk to the Board at his office, Waihou, on the sth day of February, 1927. The Rate Book and Rating Roll is now open for inspection of ratepayers at the office of the Board, Waihou, during ordinary office hours. It is also intended to collect an interest rate on the Sum of £2OOO, being part of Special Loan of £30,000 expended on drains improvement within the Awaiti Special Rating Area of the Board’s District of: 1 3-16 d in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all lands in Class A ; of fd in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all lands in Class “B”; and of 9-16 d in the £ on the unimproved rateable value of all lands in Class “C.” Dated at Waihou this 20th day of December, 1926. IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the “Local Bodies Loans Act,. 1926,” Sections 3, 17, and 18 thereof, notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Board to raise a Special Loan of £6OO over a portion of the Awaiti Subdivision of the Board’s Drainage District which is not a. Legal Subdivision, and the Special Roll of ’ Ratepayers of the proposed Special Rating Area is deposited for inspection at the residence of Mr M. A. Carter, Awaiti, Netherton, and at the office of the Board, Waihou, for a period of seven days next after the date of the first publication of this notice. Any person whose name appears on the Special Roll may object to any matter or thing contained in the said roll, or the omission of any matter or thing from the said roll, and may forward notice thereof in writing to the Clerk of the Board within seven days next after the expiration of the due date fixed for inspection of the roll.
