FERRIS JAZZLAND REVUE

CLEVER, BRIGHT COMPANY. LAST NIGHT’S -PERFORMANCE. . A novel entertainment was presented to the audience a,t the Gaiety. Theatre, Paeroa, last night, when the Ferris Jazzland Revue Company made its first appearance here. The show was bright and clever, and entirely free 'from any form of vulgarity. Each member o'f the company proved to be a star performer," aind there was not a dull moment. The programme comprised singing, comedy, dancing, and novelty. The selections by the jazz band were well received, and the minstrel part of the programme was tuneful and a pleasure to listen to. Miss Ron Thompson pleased in the rendering of’’"The Sunset Trail,” and was heartily encored. HUrry Montgomery is the possessor o'f a pleasant tenor voice, and his. first song, “Just a little smile,” was most acceptable. Remarkably clever dancing was done, by La Buster, the female impersonator, and it was a great surprise when, in the last number, his wig was lifted aind the dainty , and vivacious dancer .turned out to be a mere man. The diversified programme was, well staged, the costumes and dr.apings being pretty and dainty. The reception that each artist received was proof of the approval of the ajidience.
