TENNIS. Owing to the unsettled weather rje•cent.ly the > tennis match between Waihi and Hikutaia had to be postponed repeatedly, but last Saturday • conditions were 'favourable, and the -players of both teams were very en--‘.thusiastic. Numer.ous spectators were present to witness the match, whnch was the : first of the season. Following are the scares, the home players being mentioned first :— Ladies’ Singles.—-Miss G. Gibb beat Mrs Redpath, 7—2 ; Miss M. R. Gibb beat Mrs Coutts, 7—4. Men’s Singles;—H. Morrison lost, to G. H. Barry, o—7 ;G. Gibb beat Chappel, 7__4 ; c. Gibb lost to Tetley, o—7; •C. Elliot beat Rowe, 7 —4 ; W.- Paetai beat Keohan, 7—5 ; R. "The school concert recently produced by the children of the Kaihere, school was repeated in the Patetohga Hall on Tuesday evening, the proceeds going in aid of the hall.
