Some objection has been raised by Kopuarahi settlers of the proposal of the Horahia Drainage. Board to construct a drain from the Shelly Beach factory outlet in a north-easterly direction to provide an outlet for some farms near the Orongo estate. It is contended that the proposed drain would cause the factory outlet to be overloaded, with disastrous lesults to a large number of farms in the plcality, and that the object of the board could be achieved draining in another direction. The matter was discussed at a meeting on Saturday evening, and an inspection oF the area was amde the following Afternoon.
