PAEROA DEFEATS WAITOA, COMPLETION OF FIRST ROUND. The first round of the Piako Cricket Asspciation’s competition was concluded on Saturday afternoon. The game ot local- interest; was played ajt the domain between Paeroa and Waitoa. Paeroa won the toss and sent Waitoa in to bat. Cooper (28) and Farrow (19) made a good stand, and batted well. For Paeroa; W. Taylor (38) was the only batsman to reach double figures, and the local team was lucky to win by the narrow margin of seven runst Following are the details
