LAST SATURDAY’S MATCHES.
WET CONDITIONS PREVAIL.
G.sing to the wet weather only tw<o! the Hauraki Plains Cricket Associal'oii’s inter-club matches were played on Saturday last, and both of these were hampered by the rain. At Waitakaruru the Pipiroa. team* secured a two-point win by 43 runs to 37, and at Kopuarahi, where the two unbeaten teams met, a draw resulted, the rain preventing the innings from being finished. Kaihere and Turua will probably play their match on Saturday 7 next.

Total For 8 wickets 63 Bowling analysis.—S. Phillips took 6 wickets for 13 runs ; Chapman, 1 for 9 ; Boyne, 0 for 13 ; Gribble, 1 for 17. PLAINS CRICKET ASSOCIATION. MEETING AT NGATEA. The Hauraki Plains Cricket Association met at Ngatea on Monday evening, Mr H. L. Berney presiding over Messrs Nola ( n, Cornthwaite, McKay, Dare, Gre.en, Galvin; Hedges; and Wallis (secretary);. The Turua club was not represented. MATCH AGAINST WAIHI. A letter was received from the Waihi Cricket Association offering to play a representative match on the Pldjinsi on Saturday next. It was decided to accept the date and play the match at Kopuarahi..,. The following will comprise the Plains team: A. J. McDonald, RWhelan, R. D. Macklow,. Rev. Averill, T. McKay, Rus. Green, S. Phillips, H. Dare, G. L. Griffiths, W. O’Neil, M Cannii g. Emebgeficies: R. Cornthwaite and F. Woodbridge. Messrs H. L. Berney and J. W. Gribble were appointed umpires for the majtch. MATCH WITH AUCKLAND. A letter was, received from the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association suggesting that the Plains Association should send a team to take part in the ..tournament at Auckland during Christmas week. It was decided to send a team itpossible-. REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. In reply to- the associa ( tioh’s requests for representative matches letters were received from the Paeroa club advising that no dates were available before Christmas, but after then a match might be arranged, and 'from the Rotorua Association suggesting a match at Rotorua on a date to be arranged. WET WEATHER.
As, a committee th decide whether, matches should be played on wQt Saturdays Messrs J. G. Miller, H. L. Berney, and H. Dare were appointed. The meeting closed with vote of thanks to. Mi - J- W. Gribble for. the use of his room for. the meeting.
