THE GOLDFIELDS STARS. PAEROA DEFEATED BY TE AROHA. The much coveted Goldfields Stars passed to a team frota To Aroha on Saturday. Paeipaj withstood 12 chalbefore being defeated by a. team consisting p’f Childerhouse, Kristhovich, Wyllie, and Bygrave (skip) 'from Te Aroha. On the eighth, tenth, and fourteenth heads, the teams were letel. Oil the, eighteenth head Te Aroha had a lead of five, which was reduced to two on thq ninteenth head and one on the twentieth' head!. Intense' excitement was. then apparent, and up to the delivery of the last bowl a tie was possible, but a wick from a Paeroa bowler on to one of Te Aroha’s which was lying second put the game out of doubt, Te Aroha winning by 21 to 19.
