THIS WEEK’S EXHIBITION. ' NOTED EXHIBITS ENTERED. Despite the unseasonable weather matters in connection with the holding of the Hauraki A. and P. Show are well in hand. All roads will lead to the Paeroa Domain on Wednesday and Thursday, on which days this year’s exhibition is te be held. A large working bee of members of the association put in a hard day’s work on Saturday applying the final touches to the grounds so th'at the utmost convenience and comfort will be available for exhibitors and spectators.

The question o'f discontinuing th© holding of a two-day s;how at Paeroa has been considered by the committee, and judging by the entries received this year the suggestion cannot be given effect to while such rehjdy support is forthcoming. The riding . and jumping • events have attracted considerable attention, and the fact that such well-known exhibitors as Messrs A. M. Samuel? M.P., Ben. Myers, and Mrs Erson have entered their noted jumpers should provide keen competition and added attraction for spectators.

In ,the harness horse classes good entries have been received, hind some of the best animals in the province will be seen in the show-ring.

Th pony, leaping competition has attracted seven entries, and competition will again be keen in this class. As is usual in the cattle classes, the greatest number o'f entries have been received for the Jersey breed, and some notable prize-winners at previous shows will be, exhibited. The Captain Hubbard Memorial Cup is being competed for this yeajr: by exhibitors of the Friesian breed, arid competition promises to be keen for the coveted trophy.

In addition to the usual ring events a monster baby show is to be field on the croquet lawn on Thursday afternoon, for which post entries will be received.

On Wednesday evening the annual complimentary smoke concert to exhibitors and jugdes will be held. On Thursday there will be first-aid and boy scout competitions, in addition to a decorated bicycle competition for school girls and boys.

The. owners of a; number of sideshows have signified their intention Of occupying in the domain on both days of the show, and there will be fun and entertainment galore for young and old. The local townspeople are asked to combine with their country folk and assist to make the 1926 Show an outstanding success.
