THE TE AROHA SHOW.
MARKED IMPROVEMENT MADE. A FINE EXHIBITION. Visitors to the Te Arolia Show on Wednesday were all agreed that there was a big improvement generally. The fine weather lajdded much .to 1 the enjoyment of the day, and the various ring everts were watched with interest On the second day the show was opened by Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., who, during his address, complimented those responsible for ,the great increase and quality of the stock. He made special mention of the home industry section, particularly the ladies’ exhibits of needlework, cooking, and flowers, which, he said were fit 'for any show in the Dominion. Another pleasing feature to him were the exhibits in thq school section. He was greatly taken with the writing, drawing, and plasticine work. The Te Aroha News Cup, which was presented for .this section z for annual competition was won by the Springdale school. The exhibits of pedigree stock, he thought, were particularly fine. He intimated that as he had won the Champion Hunter class for the .third yqar in succession, and therefore won tlie cup donated outright, ha was replacing it with a sterling silver cup to be won two years in succession or three years, at intervals. He wished the association continued success, and felt sure that side by side with the development of the district the show would grow.
