Since entering the business of motion picture screening a little over a month ago the Turua Public Hall Co. has exhibited consistently good programmes. The directors have wisely adopted the policy of screening a big proportion of really good pictures, with the idea of attracting that of people which does not regularly attend picture entertainments, and of securing the patronage cf people fhom the distant parts of the Plains. The first-class pictures have to be booked up many months ahead, but the fl r st of the special programmes is due shortly, and the dates will be advertised in this paper. Among the star pictures already barked are “The Volga Boatman,” “The Ten Commajiidments,” “Charley’s Annt,” “The Wanderer,” .and “College, Days.” A special series oT racing pictures, featuring Steve Donaghue, has also been secured.
