Official figures show that the total number of visitors to the Waitomo Caves fest year was 10,548,. as; compared with 8163 for the previous year —an increase of 2385. These, figures show the growing popularity of these wonderful caves. Last Easter between 270 and 300 would-be guests were turned away from tlie Waitbmo hostel, Auckland last month, compared with every available bed having been booked up two! months before.
