WEDDING AT PICTON.

MORRISON—SIMMONS. A very pretty wedding W solemnistid at Holy Trinity Church at Picton (Marlborough) recently, when Ella, youngest daughter pf Mr Arthur Simmons, o«f Paeroa, was married to William, third son of Mr and Mrs; George Morrison, of Te Aroha. The Rey. Canon Quintrell was' the officiating clergyman. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr Jack Hale, looked charming in a frock of ivory crepe-de-chine and accordeon pleated georgette, trimmed with sprays pf orange blossom. Her veil df hand-embroidered silk net was arranged with a wreath of orange blossom. The bouquet, which was the gift of Mrs. Hale, of Blenheim, was of frezias, pale pink stock, and maidenhair 'fern. Miss EtheJ Catto, girl friend of the bride, attended as brideSma.id, and wore a dainty frock of. hydrangea blue georgette, with insets' of guipure lace. Hqr hat was of blonde crinoline, trimmed with velvet ■ribbon and flowers to tone with the feock. She carried a bouquet of daffodils and primroses, also the gift of Mrs Hale. Mr Gilbert. Morrisota,, of Frankton, brother of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of besjt man. On leavnig the church the bride was presented with a silvej- hor|se-shoe by little Miss Peggy Haje.

After the ceremony a large number of guests attended the reception, held in the Waitohi Tea Rooms’, where the usual toasts were honoured. The happy couple the recipients of many useful and valuable gifts. The bridegroom’s, gift to his bride wa,s a fox fur necklet, a,nd to the bridesmaid a manicure set. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a travelling rug. Later, Mr and Mrs Morrison left en 'route to Auckland and Paeroa, where the honeymoon is to be spqnt. The bride travelled in a very smart ensemble suit of navy blue repp and crepe-de-chihe, and hat of bois-du-ros.e corded silk. Mr and Mrs Morri.son’s future home is to be in Frankton.
