TENDERS, addressed to the Chairman, will be received at the Council Chambers, Thames, up to noon on Wednesday, the 3rd day of November, 1926, for quarrying, crushing, screening, and delivering into trucks at quarry hopper, 7000 cubic yards, more or less, of metal from Matatoki Quarry. Alternative tenders, to include delivery of same into hopper at main road, will also be received. The engineer will meet intending cpntractors at Matatoki Post Offi.e at 10 a.m. on Thursday, the 28th inst., to point out the work. CONTRACT No. 2.—Supply and Laying Reinforced Concrete Water Main, length approximately nine miles, alternatively Ten-inch or Nine-inch. CONTRACT No. 2A.—Supply of approximately nine miles in Nine-inch and Eight-inch CAST IRON PIPES, together with Valves and Special Castings. CONTRACT No. 2C.—Supply and Laying Ten-inch STEEL or IRON (other than Cast Iron) PIPES, length approximately nine miles. The Works will be shown to intending Contractors. For this purpose the Engineer will be in attendance at the County Office, Ngatea, on Wednesday, 27th inst., leaving at 10 a.m. for the Works, and thereafter further visits to the Works may be arranged with the County Clerk. Drawings and Specifications cn view at County Office, Ngatea, or at Office of E. F. Adams, Civi/Engineer, Thames. In case of Contracts Nos. 1A and 2A a copy of Specification furnished on application to County Clerk and payment of 10s, repayable on return of copy or on receipt of tender. Enclose Deposit of 5 per cent, on tendered price and names of sureties with Contracts Nos. 1,2, and 2C. Enclose Guarantee of performance Twenty-five (£25) pounds Contract No. IA, and Two Hundred and Fifty (£250) pounds Contract No. 2A. Endorse “Tender for Waterworks,” adding the Contract Number. These tickets will not be available by Main Trunk Express trains. On 30th October 10.30 a.m. Frankton-Paeroa train will not run. Train leaves Waihi for Thames 8.20 a.m., Paeroa 9.40, Thames arrive 10.59 a.m. On 30th October and Ist November train leaves Frankton for Thames 7.30 a.m., Paeroa 9.40, Thames arrive 10.59 a.m. Return train leaves Thames 5.51 p.m., Thames South 6.10, Paeroa 7.20, Frankton arrive 9.45 p.m. Usual 5.36 p.m. Paeroa-Waihi train will not run. Train leaves Paeroa for Waihi 7.25 p.m. (after arrival of 551 p.m. train from Thames), Waihi arrive 8.20 p.m. Train leaves Te Aroha for Thames 8.15 a.m., Paeroa 8.59, Thames arrive 10.18 a.m. Return train leaves Thames 5.30 p.m., Thames South 5.55, Paeroa 6.55, Te Aroha arrive 7.27 n.m.
