ELECTRIC POWER.
THAMES VALLEY BOARD. WORKS REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER. The following information walsl placed before the Thames Valley Power Board meeting cin Tuesday:— "Consumers.—The total number of consumers connected to the board’s mains at September 30 1 , 1926, was 6079, which included the boroughs of Thames and Te Aroha. There were connected during the month 79 lighting and heating consumers, 75 waterheaters, 6 electric ranges, and 59 motors, on farms of which 46 are 2h.p. milking motors. There are now connected anti operating 883 water-heat-ers and 130 electric ranges, and the total number of motors connected and running on farms is 1779, of which 1552 are 2h.p. milking motors. In the number of motors connected to the board’s mains during the month 34 are oh already existing lines. “There were also connected in meter a.reas one 25h.p., one 7%h.p., one 5h.p., one 3h.p., one 2 h.p., -and one %h.p. motors, and two electric ranges. Quite, a demand for electric' ranges is now setting in, and it is anticipated that a large loading in ranges will be connnected to the. mains by the end of the year. “Poles. —Arrangements have been made for 35 poles to reticulate the payable portion of the Ngatea-Pate-tonga section and also for the Maratoto section. Supplies! of low tension and service poles are coming to hand at fairly regular intervals.”
