SUCCESSFUL JERSEY SALE. MR. W. J. HALL’S CATTLE. A highly successful safe of Jersey cattle on account of Mr W- J. Haji, of Matatoki, was conducted on the farm by the F,armei s’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd,, on Tuesday. There was a large attendance, buyers being present from all parts of the district and even from places as far distant a,s tOtorohanga and Kaip.ara Filats. Buyers were a little shy at the start, but as the 'sale proceeded bidding became more brisk, and fo*r .some of the choicer lots there was spirited comp®tition. The highest price of the day was 105 guineas, paid by Mr W. Mears, of Walton, for the show heifer Orange Dale’s Rona. The next best price for females was 76 gunieas, which the. same buyer paid tor the young cow Orange Dale’s Rioter. A number of other females changed hands at prices exceeding '5O guineas, Mr Clive; Phillips, of tOtorohanga, being a prominent buyer. The well-known herd sire Orange Dale’s Draconis was sold to Mr Clive Phillips, for 90 guineas, and the younger bull, Orange Dale’s Oxford to Messrs Scott 8r05.., of Kaipara Flats, for 62 guineas. Other bulls sold up to 40 guineas, and calves to 24 guineas. The average for the 25 head sold was £52 5s ; for the four bulls £5B lOfi., and for the 19 cows a<nd £53 10s.

HAMILTON STOCK SALE.

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:— At the .weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards o!n Tuesday last we had a good entry of steer and cow and heifer beef, which sold well up to the previous week’s rates. Prime ox sold a,t equal to £2 per 100, prime cow and heifer beef equal to 33s to 35s per 1001 b. Heavy fat steers £l5 Is to £l5 10s, prime medium weights £l2 13s to £l4, lighter prime £ll 3s to £ll 13s ; good quality prime heifers to £l4 2s 6d, good quality prime heavy cows £l2 15s to £l2 19/s-, heavy prime £ll 5s to £l2 2s. 6d, melium weight prime young cows and heifers £lO to £lO 17s 6d, lighter £8 10s to £9 10s, small welldone cows and heifers £7 to £7 12s, fresh-conditioned cows £5 to £5 10s, - gookl-framed store cows £4 6s to £4 10S, 4-year-old store bullocks in low condition £6 10s.

A medium number of fat sheep were penned, and prices were slightly easier. Fat wethers in wool sold td 31s, heavy shorn 22s 6d, lighter good quality light shorn 22s ; extra good prime heavy woolly hoggets 30s; medium fat ewes in wool 15s.

A fair entry of fat and store pigs were penned, and all classes sold at advanced rates to those reached at other late markets.
