Mr A. M- Samuel, M.P,. left Paeroa for Auckland yesterday morning on several matters connected with the electorate. ’He will return to Paeroa and also spend a few days in Waihi, within the next fortnight.

A painful mishap befel a Patetonga schoolgirl, daughter of Mr W. Thompson, on Friday last. While playing at school she fell, placing her hand on the base of a broken'bottle, with the result that the wrist and palm were, very severely cut. The injury was attended to by the district nurse, four stitches being inserted.
