HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports: ■
At the weekly stock sale held in tne Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a medium entry of cow and heifer beef and a gcfod yard of fat and store sheep, while both fat and store pigs were penned in large numbers. Beef sold firm, at advanced rates, mediumweight prime heifers bringing from £l2 5s to £l3 Is, lighter £8 10s to £lO ; prime cows £ll 10s to £l2 2s 6d, light to> medium £8 5s to £8 10s; young cows £7 to £7 5&; runners £1 15s to £2 19s ; unfinished cows £4' Ils to £4 12s ; stores £2 10s to £3 5s ; culls £1 to 355.
The whole yarding of sheep was cleared at- late rates. Extra prime heavy fat shorn wethers 27s ; medium 'fat wethers in wdol 27s 3d to 285,, prime woolly hoggets 25s 6d; cull wethers 14s. A line of 900 4-,tooth store wethers average.d 255.
Pigs: Fats showed a slight improvement on the values reached the previous w®ek, all classes being easier, noticeably in the weaner pens. Heavy bacbners brought from £4 9.5, to.£4 13s, medium baconers £4 to £4 ss, medium to heavy porkers £3 10s to £3 15s. light and medium porkers £2 12s 6d to £3 3s ; gooid store porkers £2 to £2 6®; best slips 30s to 355, others. 22s to 275,; best weaners 18 s to 225., small and young 10s to 14s 6d; inferior sows in pig £3 toi £4.
