TO-NIGHT AND TO-HOBROW NIGHT

A GORGEOUS SPECTACLE,

As the time draws, nearer interest increases in the crowning of “Queen Rota,” which ceremony is to take place at the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, to-night, and to-morrow night. During the week-end dress rehearsalshave been held, and it is understood that the court robes ha,ve been worn With the dignity and grace for so many generations associated with Court functions. The few persons who have been privileged to see the robes and dresses describe them as gorgeous, and with the aid of spotlights the beauty and splendour will be increased.

Tn addition to the actual coronation ceremony a number of local celebrities are to be knighted by the Queen, and other honours are to be conferred. The programme will be varied with vocal and instrumental items, and special baJFts and tableaux have been arranged. Owing to the length of the programme patrons are asked to occupy their seats early, so that the ceremony can commence promptly on time and proceed without interruption. A dance will follow the ceremony, and the whole performance will be ‘repeated to-morrow night.
