GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES* TO-NIGHT. THE FIRST YEAR. Anyone who has servant problems will appreciate the situation in which Grace Livingston finds herself in the comedy drama “The First Year, which is to be shown to-night. She is the little bride in the picture whose husband invites an important client up to dinner without consulting her. That wouldn’t have been such a terrible, offence if her maid hadn’t become sick.at the last moment and left her servantless and forced to substitute the. gangling daughter of her coloured washerwoman. REVELATION. "Revelation,” which is also to be shown to-night, is a big, spectacular production with ah unusual cast headed by Viola Dana, Monte Blue, and Lew Cody. The story is from “The Rose Bush of a Thousand Years,” which is 'founded on an old French monastic legend, telling df a monk who, in medieval times, planted a rose bush that never blossomed. The monk thought that its barrenness was a punishment for his sins. He piaye,d for forgiveness and then the Virgin appeared tb him, and the bush blossomed forth a.s a sign of Ifdrgiveness-.
