HAMILTON STOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ 00-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—
At the weekly stock market in th* Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry off cow and heifer beef, more than an average yarding of fat sheep, and a medium entry of fat and store ipgs. Beef sold well up to the previous week’s rates, while prime mutton was firm. Keen competition ruled fer all classes of pigs. Beef. —Prime cows a,nd heifers- £lO 5s to £lO 10s, medium weight fat 'cows £8 10s to £9 2s 6d, light cows and heifers £6 to £7, unfinished £4 10s to £5; 2% to 3-year store steers £5 10s ; Store cows £1 10's to 355. S h ee p.—Heavy prime ewes 26s to 27s 3d, lighter 23s ; medium fet wethers, 2 arid 4-tooth, 29s 3d'to 80s ; forward 2 and 4-tooth wethers 24s toi 275; prime hoggets 25s 6d, fat hoggets- 20s 9d, 'fair forward hoggets 16s 9d. Pigs.—Extra good quality prime heavy baconers £5 to £5 2s 6d, heavy baconers £4 10s to £4' 18s, medium bacoiners- £3 15s to £3 18s; light! baconers -and good porkers £3 12s to £3 14s-; medium porkers £3 2si to £3 - 10s, light £2 10s to £2 15s ; large stores £3 5s to £3 7s; store porkers £2 to £2 55,slips 30s to 355-, best weaners- 20s to 265.
