GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. THE SPORTING VENUS. “The Sporting Venus,” starring Blanche Sweeet is to be shown tonight, and tells, of Lady Owen, daughter of a wealthy Scottish lord, who has fallen in love with a commoner, Donald McAllan. She, is. persistently sought after by the impecuniousPrince Marno of Portugonia, who succeeds in making Donald believe that she is going to marry the Prince. Piqued by Donald’s coldness, she almost does, but the Prince’s deception is found out and after a dramatic reconciliation she marries Donald.
