Referring to a question asked by Mr G. W. Forbes (Leader of the Nationalist Party) during the passage of tile Estimates, the Minister of Education (Hon. R. A, Wright) said he was inclined to support the idea of open air school’s, In fact, the Government wa.s strongly in favour of the system. Some parents did hot, however, approve of it, and it had been decided that where the citizens, wanted the ope.n air schools the Government would agree to them. One had been established at Hawena.
