GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. SPORTING LIFE. Beautiful girls, gorgeous gowns, galloping horses, racing automobiles, fighting men —they’s all in “Sporting Life,” which is to be screened tonight. Opening with an elaborately staged musical revue a; la Flo Zeigf®ld, in which chorus girls, dancing stars, and comedians are .there as in reality, the picture works up to a s,emi-climax with an exciting ring battle, then goes on to a whirlwind finish in a horse race at Epsom Downs, with the fortune of the hero staked on the outcome. ANGLICAN SOCIAL. TO-MORROW NIGHT’S FUNCTION. The members, of St. Paul’s Church, Paeroa, have arrangements well in hand for the dance and euchre tournament which is to be held at the Gaiety Theatre to-morrow night. Pickford’s local orchestra has been engaged to supply the dance music, and an assurance is given that the floor will be in first-class condition. The euchre tournament, for which six handsome prizes have been prbvided, is to be held on the stage. The popular prices which are to be charged for admission to this well organised function are sure to attract a large number of people.
