CASTE ON A SHIP.
MOHAMMEDAN MUTINY. FOOD AND AN UNBELIEVER. PHILATELPHIA, July 12. The. Mohammedan crew of twentynine seamen abandoned the British freight steamer City df Newcastle at the, dock and established a mild state of mutiny as a religious protest. They camped on the dock, s bringing their own food, and refused to return to the ship until the Buddhist cook ’was discharged, alleging that their food -was contaminated by contact with an unbeliever. The Mohammedans ware removed to the immigration station, pending investigation by British Consular officials. .
