Under the chairmanship of Cr. E. . ,L. Walton the Hauraki Plains County Cqunci concluded its monthly meeting yesterday before three o’clock. The Hon. A. D. McLeod, Minister oC Lands, in answer to the Hauraki. Plains County Council’s invitation to visit the Plains, wrote thanking the council for its invitation and advised ,tha,t at. the present time he could: not make a commitment, as to the; probable date, but would make the trip as early as possible in the recessThe rainifall on the Hauraki Plains, for the month of Juno, as recorded as. the Lands Office, Kerepeehi, totalled 3.84> inches. Rain fell on 12 days' during the month, .the heaviest fall being on the 4th, when 1.16 inches, were recorded. The only other day when the fall was heavy was the 28th, when the total was .74 ot an. inch. The ' fall during the samemonth in the three previous yea,rs. was 6.67, 6.29, and 5.23 inches,
