ADJOURNED SITTING.
FURTHER LICENSES GRANTED.
A further sitting df the Ohinemuri Licensing Committee was held to-day at noon, when the following were present: Mr J. H. Salmon (chairman), Messrs W. J. Towers, P. E. Brenqn, W, M, Wallnutt, and W. Marshall. An apology for absence was received from Mr Walters owing to urgent private business. Licenses were granted to the Golden Cross Hotel, Waihi, and the Kerepeehi Hotel forthwith, and to the Paeroa Hotel as from Thursday morning next.
r ihe applications tor the Commercial Hotel, Waihi, and the Royal Mail Hotel, Paeroa, and Sterling Hotel Waihi, were 'adjourned to August 9.
Mr Dromgool, applied on behalf of Mrs Montgomery for permission to substitute a site at Morrinsville for the one applied for at Waitoa. After a short conference the chairman said that the committee would, under the circumstances, allow the applicant to advertiSjC, and he adjourned the heaping until August 9. The matter would be dealt with by the whole of the committee. In granting the permission to advertise he wished it to be clearly understood that they were not dealing with the merits of the case. Plans were required to be lodged.
