For some unknown reason, the mussels, of which a considerable export trade is done Dorn Coromandel, are in poor condition at present (states the Coromandel County News). The season for these shellfish is nearly due, and orders for them are. already coming in, but the local purveyors do not care to furnish supplies until the mussels recover the condition which has made the Coromandel “ kutai ” famous.
