PAEROA RUGBY UNION.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The usual meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held on Monday, there being present: Messrs W. Pennell (chairman), E. Shaw, W. Morrison, J. Wilson, J. Rackham, J. Walmsley, K. Slyfiejd, T. P. Vuglar, R. Hodson, and the secretary, Mr J. M. Crosby. MISBEHAVIOUR. Discussion ensued regarding the misbehaviour of schoolboy’s on May 29. and also to their entrance to the dressing-shed and utilising the union’s flags other than’ on a Saturday. After the school, delegates h,ad made known the result of their inquiries into the matter it was resolved, on the motion of Mr Walmsley, .'Ctonded by Mr Vugla,r, that the union apologise for the previous resolution as parsed.
HELPING YOUNG PLAYERS! On the motion of Messrs Walmsley and Morrison it was resolved that Mr Preston be joined with Messrs Walmsley and Shaw in a,n endeavouf to foster third-grade football. JUNIOR. REPRESENTATIVES. The date chosen for the junior match a,t Rotorua not being suitable, it was decided to defer the matte/ for a month.
PROTEST. A protest was lodged by the Netherton club claiming the match against, Karangahake for playing E. King, without having a clearance (from the Walton club for which he played one senior ma,tch. After hearing evidence Mr Hodson moved, and Mr Slyfleld seconded, that the protest be disallowed, and the fee returned.
■ REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS. The senior and junior representative teams as chosen tor next Saturday were approved of. The following appointments were made: T. P. Vuglar, Piako seniors; R. Hodson, Paeroa seniors ; J. Rackham, Paeroa juniofis; and E. Shaw, Paeroa third-grade.
It was resolved that juniors assemble at Raffill’s at 1.30 p.m., to be arranged in buses provided by the union, and third-gtejdes assemble at station for departures by ,the 11.25 train.
Mr Slyfleld was deputed to confer with Mr Bigelow and arrange a a primary school match a.s a enrtainiraiser to the senior match, to commence at 1-40 p.m.
REGISTRATIONS. Hj. Taylor was registered and allotted to the Netherton club ag a junior player. GATEKEEPERS. Messrs Slyfleld, Morrison, and Wilson were appointed gatekeepers.
