Major-General R. Young, C;B., D.S.O., N.Z.S.C., general; officer the N.Z. Military Forces, paid a-brief official visit to Paerba on IWednesclay afternoon. Messrs E. C. Ga:ge, district tele- ' gfaph engineer, Auckland, A. Shelton, acting chielf postmaster, Thames, and A l . W. Noake, postmaster, Te Arolia, ’.'were present at the official opening of the new post office yesterday.
