ANNUAL MEETING OF SOCIETY. REPORT TO BE PRESENTED. . The annual' meeting of the Ngatea Public Hall Society will, be held tomorrow evening, and the annual report, which will be presented, reads as follows ; J■: “In presenting the balance-sheet for the year ending March 31, 1926, it is; gratifying to know it has been a year of progress. Members’ will be pleased to see ,the overdraft at the bank has 1 been further reduced by an amount of £6B. This reduction, with the amount expended in purchasing the'refreshment stall and the amount Included in assets as ‘sundry debtoiU,’ explains the large increase of £9O in the balance of assets. over liabilities. Tbe picture lease has been the main source, of 'revenue, but the miscellaneous. bookings have been so good as' to almost doublje the previousyear’s revenue under that heading. The bookings are keeping, good, and everything points to apo.th.er yeair of progress. The picture lease expires on June 30', and it will be for .the incoming committee.to deal with! ,a hew lease. “The outgoing committee- rec omni ends that at the annual; meeting the matter of providing a ladies’ dressing room and supper ropim be considered.

“The statement of receipts and expenditure shows receipts' totalling £212 16s Id, including £BB 3s'ld for miscellaneous lettings erf .the hall. The expenditure totals £145 5s 9d, and includes £3O 13s, lid for interest, £2B is 4d for maintenance, • £5ll 10s for wages; £lO 19s lid for insurance, and £2O 10s capital expenditure- < “The ' assets, are.: Hall apid. section, £748 19s 2d ; adjoining section, £l2O ; piano, '£27 16s, 3d £107; sta.l,l, £l7 10s; sundry debtors, £2O 2s 9d.
