PAEROA RUGBY UNION.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

The weekly meeting of the management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Unibn was held oiij Monday night, the chairman (Mr W. Pennell) presiding over tfie' following: Messrs J. H. Walmsley. T. P. Vuglaj', J. Wilson, W. Morrison, K. L. Sly field, E.. Shaw, R. Hodson, J. ; Rackham, and J. M. Crosby (secretary); PLAYING AREAS. ■ The .Paeroa Ladies:’ Hockey Club wrote agreeing to the suggestion that the union should pay the rental for the,hockey ground at the domain, and that in return the union be allowed to retain the whole of the gate ta,k"nigs during the reason. ! The secretary was authorised to arrange for the purchase and erection of the goalposts for the football areas. >lt- ! was also-: resolved to purchase timber to provide seating accommodation. FIXTURES. The" draw for tlie’senior competition and the first round of the junior competition was submitted by the sec-, retary approved. The senior competition will be ■ played in three / rounds, with a knock-out round-for tiie.banner, and the junior competition will be disposed of in two rounds. TRAVELLING.TEAMS. . The secretary was, requested, to obtain' quotations from local taxi-pro-prietors for the conveyance of representative teams. ", •' ADMISSION' OFPLiAYERS. i It was decided that gate ' passes would not be: issued to club players this season. Instead, it was resolved 'that captains and selectors be requested to.accompany their respective teams through the gate® to the dressing shed at Paeroa, a similar system to obtain at the country centres, ’ ■ REPLACEMENT OF PLAYERS. - L - The union’s delegates were instructed to support the notice of motion at the Thames Valley Union meeting to > .the effect, that it be permissible to ' 'replace injured players during any stage of a match,-as provided for by the N.Z. Rugby Union /rules, instead of the Thames Vai ley-Unions ruling that a player could be replaced only-up to half-time. GRADING OF PLAYERS.
