The bitumen-sealing of Nejv’ma.n’s Road, Tur.ua, was completed on Friday night. The Hauraki Plains school dental officer, Mr F. G. Stockwell, has made Patetonga, his- Kuh-base for the next month. Hamilton has had its share of weddings this Ea&tertide, no less( than 16 marriages being solemnised during the holiday period. ' Since the New Year .there have been 63 marriages, to date, while only 51 were solemnised over a similar period in 1925. The pages of. the matrimonial record reveal that those following the ordinary paths of life seem to choose their partners from among the workers in the same or in some kindred calling. For instanep, travellers., commercial men, merchants, and clerical workers, are found marrying typists and bookkeepers. Teachers, very often ma;rry teachers, the printer is found seeking wedded bliss with, a litho-lfeeder, and a mechanician with a switchboard operator. Waitresses and cooks, who serve mankind in his; hour of need, marry contractors, gardener®, workers froni the butsh, seafaring meh, and those from all kinds of outdoor occupations, which cultivate a good appetite.
