Note that the cows were of “very ordinary quality ; that they cost their owner less than £lO each; that the land was top-dressed .with 2 J cwt. of Superphosphate annually, and that the farmer , attribued the performance of the cows to the fact that they were “well fed.” , this is yet another tribute to the enormous value of Superphosphate as a fertiliser.
