The . Farmers’ ■ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:—

At the- weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry of steer and cow beef, but only a limited number df well-finished cattle were penned, and competition was anything but brisk. Medium-weight fait siteers sold tjO£lo 9is-, lighter £8 12s to £9 2s 6d, unfinished £6 10s to £8 5s ; prime cows £7 7s 6d to £8 ss,’medium, well-flfiish-ed, £6 to £6 14s, lighter £5 to £5 16syoung and light cows £4 to £4 16'si, plain and ordinary £3 to £3 15s goad wealers £3 3s, small: 30s to 35s ; freaficonditibned cows £2 to £2 6s, culls 15s to £1 ; 2-yedr in calf Jersey, heifers, •medium quality, £4, same age Hol-stein-Shorthorn cross £3 Is.

Prime woolly lambs 26s 6d, good 24's 9d,' good mixed ' sex woolly store lambs 14s 6d, medium 10s, small 7s. An extra heavy yarding of pigs came forward (principally 'fats), and va.lues did. not reach the standard of the previous week. Bacon company buyers were not keen, and ivere operating at reduiced rates'. All classes of stores .were .again very, dull of sale.
