Election Notices* OHINEMURI LICENSING COMMITTEE. TO THE ELECTORS. Ladies and Gentlemen, With the return of this district from No-License to License., it becomes necessary for you to elect a Licensing Committee to administer the Licensing Act, and to deal with Publican’s Licenses. In response to the requests of a large number of electors I have decided to offer my services for election. My residence in this district of 16 years has enabled me to study the necessity for Licensed Houses of a most up-to-date and fully-equipped character, with the strictest possible management and care for the comfort of the general public. I have been for six years a member of the Waihi. Borough Council, secretary of the Waihi Rugby Union for four years, member of the Technical School Board for six years and at present its chairman. The foregoing years of experience have made me fully conversant with the duties of public life, and the management of affairs in the best interests of the community generally. Therefore if you do me the honour of electing me to the Licensing Bench it will be my earnest endeavour to merit the confidence placed in me as one of your representatives. Yours faithfully, JOHN J. CALLAGHAN. THE INDEPENDENT PEOPLE’S PARTY ARE ’ OUT FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. .
