HAMILTON feTOCK SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:'— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday there was a good entiy of beef and a full yarding of sheep and pigs'. Prices reached in the beef penri wtere easier than those reported the previous wefek, being : Medium weight steers, £lO 2s to £lO 12s 6d, light £9 to £9 10s, unfinished £8 2s 6d to £8 12s; heavy fat cows £7 15s, to-£8; medium piime cows £6 5s to £6 Ils, medium £5 to £5 17s (id, light cows and heifers £4 to £4 17s 6d ; best veajers £3 to £3 4s<. small 31s.
Sheep: Mutton was slightly easier, and the competition for breeding ewes was not up to the standard of other late sales, while all classes of lambs were [sought after and prices were firm. Prime 4 and 6-tooth wethers 28s 6d; fat. ewes 18s to 22s 6d, medium 2 and 4-tooth. store wethers 23s 6d, small 2-tooths, 20s 9d, medium 4-tooth to 5-year ewes 23s 3d, 4 a,nd ■sryear. ewes 19s to 23s 6d, failing mouths 16s to 17is 6d; good 2-tooth Romney ewes 28s 3d; fat.lambs 22s 6d, medium 19s, 6d; forward B.F. woolly, lambs 175.6 d. to,. 18s 3d ; good forward W.F. shorn lambs 17s, Id; best shorn store lambs, mixed sexes,, 14is' 9d to 15s ; small woolly lambs 10s 6d, culls 7s to 9s.
Pigs: Heavy baconei’s and .good porkers again sold under firm competition,. and prices showed a further improvement. Good quality hea,vy baeoners £4 10s to £4 18s, heavy £3 17s to £4 4s, medium £3 10s to £3 15s ; light baeoners and good: porkers £3 5s to £3 BiS'; light to- medium porkers. £2 10s to £3, small and unfinished £2 to £2 5s ; slips, Ids -to 23s ; best weavers 10s to 14s.'small 3s to 6s.
