Note that the cows were of “very ordinary quality”; that they cost their owner less than £lO each; that the land.was top-dressea with 2 a cwt. of Superphosphate annually, and that the farmer attribued the performance of the cows to the fact that they were “well fed.” , This is yet another tribute to the enormous value or buperpnosphate as a fertiliser.
